EZZA EZEKUNA: WHEN BROOMSTICKS STAND TOGETHER, NO HAND CAN BREAK THEM
By Nwokwu Solomon Chukwuemeka (OKENEPEHU)
A mighty iroko does not fall because the wind is strong; it falls when termites have quietly eaten away its roots. Likewise, no nation is defeated by outsiders until division first weakens it from within.
Great sons and daughters of Ezza Ezekuna, history is knocking on our door. The journey to 2031 is not a dream hanging in the clouds; it is a seed already placed in our hands. Whether it grows into a mighty tree or withers in the dust depends on what we choose to do today.
Let us not become our own greatest obstacle. The river that divides itself into countless streams loses the strength to carry a canoe. Personal ambitions, unnecessary rivalries, and endless factional battles will only scatter the golden opportunity that destiny has placed before us.
If Ezza Nation truly desires to produce the Governor of Ebonyi State in 2031, then unity must become our first language. Our elders, youth, women, traditional rulers, political leaders, professionals, and stakeholders must gather around one table, not to determine who is greater, but to agree on a common roadmap that will guarantee victory.
We must present not merely the loudest voice, but the strongest character—a leader whose integrity is unquestionable, whose competence inspires confidence, whose humility earns respect, and whose vision can unite every corner of Ebonyi beyond clan and party interests.
Political victories are not harvested overnight. We must begin now to strengthen our grassroots structures, occupy strategic positions within the APC from wards to local governments, mobilize our energetic youths as organizers and digital advocates, and transform online enthusiasm into votes on election day.
Wisdom also demands that we build bridges rather than walls. Strategic alliances with our brothers and sisters across Ebonyi must begin long before election season. Trust is built over time, not at the final hour.
Let us wisely invest our resources, strengthen our media engagement, protect our political rights through legal preparedness, and consistently tell the compelling story of an Ezza Nation committed to justice, development, peace, and good governance. More importantly, let our communities experience visible development today, for the people believe more in what they can see than in what they are merely told.
Above all, let us remain disciplined and accountable to one another. Whenever misunderstandings arise, let us settle them within the family instead of allowing them to become weapons in the hands of those who do not wish us well.
My beloved Ezza Ezekuna, 2031 is not the campaign of one individual—it is the collective assignment of an entire generation. If we walk separately, our footsteps will fade into the sand. But if we march together as one people with one purpose, our footprints will become the highway through which destiny enters our land.
The drum of opportunity is already sounding. Let every heart beat with unity, every hand build with purpose, and every voice speak with one accord.
When broomsticks stand together, no hand can break them. When Ezza Ezekuna stands together, no force can deny our destiny.
The time is now. Let us organize. Let us unite. Let us build. And together, by the grace of God, we shall bring 2031 home.
