The following year, in 1975, he cleared and graded a path that would later become a major community link. He didn’t just build a road — he carved a legacy . His name? Pa. Peter Uzodimma. His legacy? Abakaliki Street. That very year, he officially registered the street, proudly naming it after his ancestral home — a symbol of unity, cultural pride, and peaceful coexistence between the people of Ebonyi and their Anambra hosts. For over four decades, Abakaliki Street stood as a historical thread connecting two great peoples.
