We're absolutely buzzing with excitement to announce that commercial flight operations are officially set to begin at the Chuba Okadigbo International Airport in Onueke, Ezza South Local Government Area, on June 13, 2025! Can you believe it? June 13th! That's just days away!

This groundbreaking development is all thanks to a fantastic new partnership between the Ebonyi State Government and United Nigeria Airline. This isn't just about planes taking off; it's about boosting air travel, enhancing connectivity, and truly opening up Ebonyi to the rest of the world (and making it easier for the rest of the world to get to us!).

Our very own Commissioner for Aviation and Transport Technology, Mrs. Ngozi Obichukwu, spilled the beans in a recent statement, confirming that United Nigeria Airlines will be kicking things off.

So, what's the initial lowdown?


  June 13, 2025, is the big day! Flights will commence from Abuja to Onueke and back. Imagine, a direct flight from the nation's capital right into our backyard!

  Then, on June 18th, get ready Lagos! Services on the Lagos-Onueke route are scheduled to begin.

 After the initial launch, flights will operate on a regular schedule every Monday and Friday. Perfect for weekend getaways or quick business trips!

We know what you're thinking – "How do I book my ticket?!" Hold your horses just a little bit, gist lovers! Mrs. Obichukwu mentioned that online booking isn't quite ready yet as the ministry is working through some regulatory procedures. But don't fret! You can still secure your spot.

Here's how to book your flight for now:

 Cost of a one-way ticket: ₦100,000

 Payment Method: Direct deposit into the Ebonyi State Government’s account.
