HEARTBREAK IN IKWO: SEVEN LIVES LOST IN SUSPECTED ECONOMICAL ATTACK

Tragedy has struck the Akuhufu Inyimegu community in Ikwo, leaving hearts heavy as seven individuals were reportedly killed in a devastating attack by suspected individuals from Ekpaomaka.

In the wake of this horrific incident, the Member Representing Ikwo/Ezza South Federal Constituency, Comrade Chinedu Ogah, has stepped in to offer solace and support. While urging the grieving community to resist the urge for retaliation, Comrade Ogah firmly assured them that the perpetrators would face the full force of the law.

Echoing Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru's dedication to peace and progress, Comrade Ogah emphasized the crucial role of the community in upholding law and order during this trying time.

Dr. Donatus Ilang, the Commissioner for Border Peace and Conflict Resolution, commended the Akuhufu Inyimegu community for their commendable restraint and pledged the state government's unwavering commitment to a thorough investigation.

Evangelist James Ogadah, the Chairman of Akuhufu Inyimegu, recounted the heart-wrenching loss of the seven individuals who were simply going about their daily lives. He passionately appealed to the state government for swift intervention and justice.

Community leaders, including Prince David Onuenyim, Mr. Nwabueze Victor, and Mrs. Grace Onuenyim, expressed their profound grief, describing this tragedy as one of the darkest moments in their history. They extended their heartfelt gratitude to Comrade Ogah for his compassionate support.

In a moving gesture of solidarity, Comrade Ogah provided essential relief materials, including rice and cash, to the grieving families and the entire village. Demonstrating his commitment to the community's future, he also announced a significant donation of 10 million Naira towards the construction of a secondary school in the area. Furthermore, he pledged to award a scholarship to one of the deceased's children, a second-year student at Ebonyi State University.
